This was a pretty special night for us, which is probably obvious considering
how far we drove. It was worth it to play in a legendary club in one
of the greatest towns in this country full of great towns.
We rolled in on Saturday afternoon and walked out into the most perfect
weather than anyone could ever hope to be in. Athens had that great sleeply
summertime Southern feel, and after we loaded our stuff into the club,
we sat outside and drank some beers and had about the best time...well,
I'll say it: ever.
Dinner at the Grit, and then we played our show and stayed in the 40
Watt and were consistently floored by the bands that appeard after us.
The Minders and Sunshine Fix were nothing short of amazing, and Glossary
and Bunnygrunt were only slightly less than. A blast, and well worth
the hours of car time. Thanks to Sarah and Joe for making our time there
just that much extra fun.
