It would have been appropriate to play "Summer Nights" at our CD Release show, or better yet, it's alternate version "Sticky Nights", because it was some kind of a sticky August night in a crowded and hot DC9. Even though we worried that everyone we knew would be out of town, there were still a ton of friendly faces. Hell, there were just a ton of faces, as Delegate and the phenomenal Soft Complex had their own summer friends out in force.

It should also be noted that this was the first night in what we hope is a longstanding Positions tradition when a friend of ours is invited onstage to play the cowbell part in "Caught Up". But there is no cowbell part in "Caught Up" you think. Well, there is now.

But the point for us, in spite of another great lineup of great bands (seriously: watch out for Summer Lawns. Wow) was that we got our CD released, and we sent those new Bliss owners out into the world with some snazzy new Eleanor Grosch-designed t-shirts.

So this was the historic launch night when we smashed a few Yuengling bottles over the bow of our debut album, sending it out into the world to do whatever it might. Yee. Haw.
